Police Being Used to Intimidate? Never.

Fucked up shit going on in the UK.  Reverend Stephen Sizer sending police to "have a chat" with a blogger who doesn't agree with him.  Cops need to cut this dumb shit out.  Also reverends...I guess...

Why, then, does Sizer, who with a doctorate is obviously an intelligent man, think it acceptable to threaten a critical blogger with legal action? For that is what the priest has done in the case of the Christian blogger known as “Seismic Shock”. I shall not repeat the details, but simply explain that Sizer made a complaint to the police about Seismic Shock, following which the boys in blue paid a visit to the blogger’s home in Horsforth, to have an “informal chat”, to use their words.

Libel is a matter for civil and not criminal law, and it is a gross misuse of police resources to have officers intervene as they have in the case of Seismic Shock. I would recommend to the blogger that he make formal complaints to the Chief Constables of West Yorkshire and Surrey, and also discuss the matter with Christopher Hill, the Bishop of Guildford.”
Hmm, I've got nothing much else to say today.  Got work to do, both paid and un-.  Talk back at you soon.

Publishimo

Well weaponizer.co.uk is going to publish one of my flash fiction stories.  It's a tour de force.  4 out of 5 dentists recommend it.  Our competitors can't match the raw power.

I dunno.  Look for it in the next couple of days.  It is called Self Titled.

I've been listening to a lot of music lately.  The song i have listened to the most is Dilaudid by The Mountain Goats...I can't fucking get enough of it, no matter how much I try.  Listen to it.  Their other stuff is very good too.

I give.

Some Days I Feel Like Poncho, Some Days, Lefty. It's a Poncho Day.

Found a cool notekeeping system, Evernote.  Been helping me organize some stuff, gonna start throwing all my dump links up there, easier to edit, keep track of, etc than the blog posts I've been using.

I should really use this blog for something.  I need a theme or you know, just something that I can write about a few times a week that isn't boring or research heavy.  Just need a way to keep up with the writing.

I'll leave you with these sage words from a great singer/songwriter Townes Van Zandt because they're in my ear right now and I feel like writing them down so I can come back and look at 'em.  That's kinda weird, huh?  Whatever.  What makes you so perfect?  Don't judge me.

A few grey federales say, they coulda had him any day.  They only let him go so wrong, outta kindness, I suppose.

Vent to Cool

I wish I did not have this job.  Every part of it bugs me, even the parts that shouldn't.  It's gotten to the point where I start to get pissed at people for talking around me while I'm trying to think.  Not like it's loud and obnoxious around here, it's just that life would be so much better if I didn't have to hear these inane and useless conversations.  I feel like they make me dumber.  I feel like everything about being here makes me dumber.

Customers/other employees/what have you.  It's not their fault, its just that my level of frustration with a mind numbingly boring job/life has manifested in anger at anything that doesn't meet a very high level of entertainment.  This level is not seen when I'm at work.

Life, it'll kill ya.

Stop bitching, you pussy.

Haiti Is Fucked Up

http://edition.cnn.com/2010/WORLD/americas/01/14/haiti.scene/ - This reporter just seems shaken, like, "Shit I have to write something, but look at all this surrealness happening all over the place."

http://www.cnn.com/2010/TECH/01/14/twitter.hoax.haiti/index.html?eref=igoogle_cnn - Twitter hoax that airlines are flying Doctors and Nurses there for free...who does that?

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/8459444.stm - BBC story about US sending a bunch of troops to help out.

http://news.discovery.com/animals/search-and-rescue-dogs-from-around-the-world-go-to-haiti.html - Discovery article about sniffer dogs going to Haiti and helping with relief efforts.

This shit is insane, they're talking about 10s of thousands possibly dead, 100s of thousands injured and millions affected.  Sucks real hard.

On This, The Day of Tom's Birth

;lkjfdsahomekeysasdfjkl; aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh asdfjkl;;lkjfdsa drunk, you?

Football games are bad today.

My buddy's bday...it's his tradition to drink 28 beers on his birthday...for some awful reason.  He's working on it right now.  He is more drunk than me.  Now I'm leaving.

Kbye.

EDIT:  The football game turned insanely good...also I got much more drunk before the end of the night.  Fun times.
